Following the Raptors coach’s outburst over “unfair” decisions in a defeat to the Lakers, LeBron James’ answer to Darko Rajakovic drew some criticism.
When questioned about the officiating, James responded simply, “I feel like they fouled and we didn’t.” Says Rajakovic that the Lakers’ victory was “bullsh*t”
It’s absurd. The coach of the Raptors said at the press conference following the game, “What happened tonight is complete bullsh*t.” “It’s a disgrace to the referees and to the league for allowing this.”
Lakers made 36 free throws overall compared to 13 for the Raptors. The largest free throw disparity in a quarter of a game in NBA season was recorded by the 23-2 LA advantage in free throw attempts in the fourth quarter (19-0 in the last four minutes).
“Had they needed to prevail tonight? Please let them know if that is the case so we know not to attend the game. Give them the victory. However, tonight was unfair,” he remarked.
Additionally, he seemed to be making poorly-intentioned jokes about the propensity of Lakers All-Stars Anthony Davis and James to beg for calls.
“We have All-Stars too, but I understand the reverence for the All-Stars and everything. “How is it possible that an All-Star player like Scottie Barnes only gets two free throws the entire game while constantly driving to the rim, not “flopping,” and not trying to be fouled?” he said.
