Bears spoke with Seahawks quarterback coach Greg Olson about becoming their offensive coordinator.
According to Michael Silver, the Bears interviewed quarterbacks coach Greg Olson of the Seattle Seahawks on Friday for their available position.
Olson has been involved in the NFL since 2001, when he was the quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers. He even served as quarterbacks coach for the Bears in 2003.
Under Jon Gruden, Olson was the offensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders from 2018 to 21. Throughout his career, he has worked with a variety of quarterbacks as a playcaller, thus flexibility was a must for general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus in their selection of him.
Olson is the fourth person Chicago is reportedly considering for the position of offensive coordinator. The offensive coordinator for the Seahawks Shane Waldron, the quarterbacks coach Liam Coen of the University of Kentucky, the offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator for the 49ers, Klint Kubiak, and now Olson have all been considered by the Bears.
