Michigan’s four-star CB Chris Ewald (2025) decommits, costing the Wolverines their top pick in the 2025 class.
The 6-foot-tall, 160-pound athlete from the state of Florida made his first commitment to the University of Michigan in December of 2022, making him the first player in Michigan’s 2025 class to reach that milestone.
Because Ewald is a kid from the south and because he is actively pursued by institutions such as Georgia, Miami, and Florida State colleges that he lined up trips for this month as opposed to Michigan it was always going to be difficult to keep Ewald’s pledge; it is just a shame that it happened so quickly.
A four-star quarterback named Carter Smith, a four-star defensive lineman named Bobby Kanka, and a four-star tight end named Eli Owens are the only players who have committed to the Wolverines in these 2025 recruiting cycles.
