This Sunday’s big game is necessary for which Lion?
The NFC North and a postseason game have both been won by the Detroit Lions. Even if it is plenty by most measures for a successful season, the Lions actually have a very good chance of going to the NFC Championship Game and winning a second postseason game, which would have seemed unthinkable only eighteen months ago.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who infamously won the NFC Central more recently than Detroit, will play next in the Divisional round. The Bucs easily defeated the Eagles on Monday night to secure their fourth consecutive postseason berth after winning a dubious NFC South. All things considered, the Lions have a nice matchup here, but in the playoffs, everyone needs to be at their best.
This Sunday, which Lion needs to have a big game?
It’s noteworthy to note that Tampa’s defense is among the top 10 in terms of points allowed while ranking in the bottom 10 for yards allowed per game. Similarly, against Philadelphia, the team allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game but the fifth-fewest rushing yards
Jahmyr Gibbs, particularly when it comes to the passing game, is my x-factor. The Bucs, predictably, have excellent red zone defense, so even if they give up yards, it is difficult to reach the end zone. For this reason, Gibbs, a game-changer, might make a difference in this situation. Of course, Sam LaPorta, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jared Goff will all need to capitalize in the air, but expect the dynamic rookie to be heavily involved on Sunday.
