Kolisi will be joined by Springbok “enemy” Farrell at Racing 92.
Following the Rugby World Cup in 2023, Kolisi joined Racing and has been a consistent starter for the top 14 log leaders. Farrell is anticipated to start playing for his new club in the forthcoming season. He has decided to take a mental health leave from international rugby and will miss the upcoming Six Nations competition.

Kolisi and Farrell have faced off on several times. The Boks prevailed in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final in Yokohama, Japan, when the two faced off as the leaders of their respective teams. The two leaders also faced off in the semi-finals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, a match that the Boks prevailed in.
A man Farrell is familiar with, former England coach Stuart Lancaster, is the coach of Racing 92. Late on Monday, Racing released the following statement: “We are pleased to announce Owen Farrell’s signing with the professional men’s squad. “The English international player will join the team on July 1, 2024, after signing a two-season contract.”
Farrell is the latest in a long line of famous flyhalves to play for the Paris-based team, which also includes former New Zealand No. 10 players Andrew Mehrtens and Dan Carter, as well as Scottish international Finn Russell, who was a member of the team until the previous season. Frans Steyn, a former great of the Bok, also played for the squad for a number of years, gaining 59 caps between 2009 and 2012.
