Legacy of Gators Florida Is the Destination for Titus Bullard, the Son of Titus O’Neil
The son of legendary professional wrestler Titus O’Neil and former Gators defensive player Titus Bullard, an edge rusher from Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep class of 2024, committed to Florida on Tuesday.
“I’m grateful to my family, friends, and coaches. helped shape who I am now,” Bullard posted on social media. “Thanks be to God; He is significant. I am now a Florida Gator because of him.”
Bullard chose to sign with his father’s alma institution over FBS offers from Liberty, Toledo, Buffalo, and Georgia Southern, and will now be a preferred walk-on for the Gators. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Bullard was a reliable varsity player at Berkeley Prep, racking up 117 total tackles over three seasons, including 39 for loss and 17.5 sacks. In his rookie season, he recorded five tackles and a sack, hinting of a successful prep career.
Thaddeus Bullard, the real name of Bullard’s father, attended Florida from 1996 to 2000. He played defensive end in 44 career games, starting three of them, while at Gainesville. From 2003 to 2007, he capitalized on his collegiate accomplishments by spending four years in the Arena Football League.
Then, three years later, O’Neil began his professional wrestling career in the WWE. His work in tag teams with Darren Young (Frederick Rosser III) as a member of The Prime Time Players is what made him most famous. The exciting team won the WWE Tag Team Championship once after defeating The New Day, a well-liked group that included Big E, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston, at the 2015 Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
Spanking from 2010 to 2019, O’Neil’s career in sports entertainment reached its zenith during the 70-day reign. Since his career with the organization ended, he has made sporadic appearances, most notably as a surprise participant in the Royal Rumble and as a commentator in recent years.
He is currently the WWE’s Global Ambassador. O’Neil used X to congratulate his son on his commitment to his college of choice.
“Today is another #ProudDad moment, as my youngest son [Titus] has officially announced that he is committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at UF and will be playing football for [the Gators],” said O’Neil. “I’m happy to see that your efforts have paid off! I adore you, son. Go, Gators!”
Since leaving the program in 2000, he has consistently supported the University of Florida, showing up as a speaker for promotions and as a fan on the sidelines of the Gators’ home games. In anticipation of the 2024 campaign, the younger Bullard is starting a new chapter at UF with the goal of carrying on the family legacy.
