De’Aaron Fox, a point guard for the Sacramento Kings, has been added to the 2024 Paris Olympic player pool.
The U.S. Men’s National Team’s managing director, Grant Hill, selected the list, which USA Basketball revealed on Tuesday. The United States will field twelve athletes to compete in the Summer Olympics in Paris, France in 2024.
The player pool includes players like Tyrese Haliburton, Joel Embiid, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Edwards. Paolo Banchero, Scottie Barnes, Mikal Bridges, James Harden, Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, and Jrue Holiday are some of the other elite NBA players.
In a press release, Hill stated, “I am thrilled that many of the game’s superstars have expressed interest in representing our country at the 2024 Olympic Summer Games. The United States has unbelievable basketball talent.”

Steve Kerr, the coach of the Golden State Warriors, will captain the American Olympic team in 2024. Mark Few of Gonzaga, Tyronn Lue of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Eric Spoelstra of the Miami Heat will be among his coaching staff members.
The No. 5 pick in the 2017 NBA draft, Fox, 26, was selected out of Kentucky. He is shooting a career-best 39.4% from three-point range and averaging a career-high 27.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.6 assists.
While guiding the Kings to their first postseason since 2006, Fox was selected for the first time as an All-Star and an NBA Third Team. After 16 straight losing seasons, Sacramento ended the longest postseason drought in league history by winning 48 games and securing the third seed in the Western Conference.
