Leicester City is preparing to sign the offensive midfielder who only days earlier annihilated them.
Callum O’Hare has recovered well from a serious knee injury that kept him out of action for most of the previous season and the first few games of this one. In the last six weeks, he has fully recovered and is back to his best as an attacking midfield player for the Sky Blues.
At 25, O’Hare has been a star player for Mark Robins’ team throughout their remarkable nine-game winning streak. Most recently, they defeated league leaders Leicester City, with O’Hare scoring twice. O’Hare’s deal with the Sky Blues expires in the summer, therefore there are questions over his future. New conditions have been offered to him, but no new contract has been agreed upon yet.
According to Daily Mail reporter Tom Collomosse, it’s not surprise that rival teams, including Southampton and Leicester, are keeping a close eye on Callum O’Hare given the uncertainty surrounding his contract discussions.
O’Hare is in a good position to decide on his future because to his contract circumstances. His present deal expires in six months, so he may decide where to go next carefully or he can wait and become a free agent.
Even though he suffered a terrible injury, the 25-year-old has already shown his abilities in the Championship. When the summer arrives, will he take that next and sign with a Premier League team?
