Jack Harrison, an Everton loanee, gives his greatest clue yet about his future with Leeds United.
It’s no secret that Jack Harrison is “really happy” at Everton. The adaptable attacker, who signed a season-long loan with the Toffees from Leeds United last summer, scored his fourth goal of the year in Saturday’s thrilling 2-2 draw with Tottenham.
Harrison has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, keeping a busy schedule for Everton. Harrison remarked, “So far, it’s been great,” looking back on his stay at Goodison Park. I’ve played in various positions and with various styles.
“The group has embraced me with great warmth, and I couldn’t have asked for more. Behind the scenes, the performance team and coaching staff have also been instrumental in helping me recover from my injuries and get back into good physical shape. It’s been a pleasure to participate, and I’m overjoyed.”
Harrison was used against the Spurs in a more central role, trailing Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The 27-year-old commended the team’s tenacity as Sean Dyche’s squad twice overcame a goal down to secure a share of the spoils and extend their league unbeaten streak to five games.
Harrison stated to Everton TV, “I believe that coming back from behind twice demonstrates the mentality that the manager has been discussing: the will to persevere and fight through to the very end.” Though we still think we could have gained more from the game, which is a plus as well, leaving on a positive note is vital for us right now. We simply need to keep fighting in order to gain all the points we can.
