Report: Former Blue Jays RHP Jackson is acquired by the Twins
Multiple reports state that right-handed pitcher Jay Jackson has signed a major league deal with the Minnesota Twins. Jackson, 36, played in 25 games for the Toronto Blue Jays during the previous season. With 27 strikeouts in 29.2 innings and a 2.12 earned-run average, the 6-foot-1 reliever had a 3-1 record in Toronto.
Jackson was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the ninth round of the 2008 MLB Draft. He has played for the San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, San Francisco Giants, Atlanta Braves, and Blue Jays throughout his career, posting a 6-2 record, 3.50 ERA, and 1.179 WHIP.
