Revolutionary: Jason Kelce Describes Difficult Strategy for Pro Bowl Performance That Went Viral
The Philadelphia Eagles’ center, Jason Kelce, has a relaxed style that belies the incredibly high level of effort he puts into his profession.
The center talked about his inconsistent play on his podcast, New Heights, alongside his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, on Thursday. Jason could not repeat his performance at first, but he informed the audience that he had done well in warm-ups for the competition.
“I asked NFC long snapper Andrew DePaola of the Minnesota Vikings, ‘Should I just try and get some points?'”… Since you’re fairly skilled at snapping, I think you should try going for the five-hole,” he added. “I started going at it and I was like, ‘Man, this is way harder than warm-ups,'” said Jason. “Everybody’s looking at me.”
Travis chimed in, “I won’t lie, I started laughing.” “Because you could tell, with you looking between your legs, the blood was going to your head.”
Even in the end, the center’s success was not without cost.
“I broke the camera that was back there,” he stated. “The camera crew had me sign the one I broke.”
