NBA: Kelly Olynyk joins the Raptors in a multi-player trade with the Jazz
In addition to Olynyk, the Jazz also shipped shooting guard Ochai Agbaji to Toronto for a 2024 first-round pick, forward Otto Porter Jr., and point guard Kira Lewis.
With the Jazz, his fifth NBA franchise since being selected with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, Olynyk, 32, is a center from Canada who has averaged 8.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 50 games (eight starts) this season.
Over his 728 games (242 starts), he has averaged 10.2 points and 5.2 rebounds.In 51 games (10 starts) during his second season in the league with Utah, Agbaji, 23, has averaged 5.4 points and 2.5 rebounds. In 2022, he led Kansas to the NCAA title.
22-year-old Lewis, who was recently acquired from the New Orleans Pelicans via the Indiana Pacers as part of the Pascal Siakam trade, only appeared in one game for the Raptors. Lewis averaged 5.4 points per game in 118 games during his four seasons with the Pelicans.
Porter, 30, agreed to a two-year, $12.3 million contract with Toronto prior to the 2022–2023 campaign, but because of injuries, he only ended up playing in 23 games over the course of two seasons. He’s played for five teams in 527 games (319 starts) and averaged 10.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
