Olynyk’s remarks regarding his time as a Utah Jazz player following his trade to the Toronto Raptors
“Utah, thank you,” wrote Olynyk. “Playing in Utah is a unique experience. I am appreciative that you welcomed me with open arms, since the supporters in the Delta Center are among the most ardent in the league.
“I am grateful to have performed for a top-tier company, and the Jazz experience has made a lasting imprint on me. I want to thank all of my teammates, coaches, trainers, staff, and other supporters from the from the bottom of my heart.
Olynyk, 32, moved from the Detroit Pistons to Utah in 2022 as a part of the trade for Bojan Bogdanovic. For the Jazz, the talented big man appeared in 118 games, starting 76 of them. He has played 43 minutes off the bench in his first two games with the Raptors, contributing 28 points, 11 rebounds, six steals, and five assists in two Toronto losses.
Ochai Agbaji, a second-year winger who has played 37 minutes off the bench for the Raptors thus far and scored 10 points with four rebounds, a steal, an assist, and a block, was dealt with Olynyk.
Kira Lewis Jr. and Otto Porter Jr., the players Utah acquired from Toronto in the trade, haven’t played for the Jazz yet. In exchange, the Raptors sent Utah a first-round draft pick in 2024.
