Amazing: The Steelers Have Two New Coaches
Galac served as Temple’s assistant strength and conditioning coach for the previous two seasons. In 2021, he served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Steelers for a single season. Prior to that, from 2012 until 2020, he served as the New York Jets’ head strength and conditioning coach. Galac spent 2005–11 employed at Villanova as well.
After serving as assistant strength and conditioning coach for three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Moore is joining offensive coordinator Arthur Smith in Pittsburgh.
According to his LinkedIn page, Moore worked as a strength and conditioning coach at Tennessee from 1997 to 2007 and at FIU from 2007 to 2012. He then went on to work in the commercial fitness industry with organizations including Cybex, Bilt, Catapult Sports, Sparta Science, and Vald.
Marcel Pastoor, the head strength and conditioning coach, was let go by the Steelers last month. Pastoor had been a member of the squad for 23 years total, and since 2021 he has served as head strength and conditioning coach.
Longtime coordinator of strength and conditioning Garrett Giemont will be the sole member of the strength department remaining. The Steelers also let go of assistant Rodain Delus and intern Tyler Judkins in addition to Pastoor.
At least for the most part, the team’s strength and conditioning department is now officially staffed. Moreover, only two or three open roles remain on the staff overall, with several of the offensive coaching vacancies already filled.
