Danilo Gallinari’s agent reports that the player has agreed to join the Bucks for the remainder of the season.
Gallinari, who spent time with the Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards this season, chose the Bucks over a few other candidates because of the chance to influence coach Doc Rivers’ frontline rotation, Tellem told ESPN.
Milwaukee’s 35-20 record places it third in the Eastern Conference. Over his career, which has included stints with the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, LA Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Atlanta Hawks, Gallinari has averaged 15.2 points and 4.7 rebounds.
Chris Paul will play for the Warriors against the Wizards on Tuesday.
Chris Paul, a guard for the Golden State Warriors, is scheduled to play in his first game back on Tuesday when the Warriors visit the Washington Wizards. Paul broke his left hand on January 5 and hasn’t played since. To fix the fracture, he had surgery.
The injury was sustained by the 19-year-old veteran during a game against the Detroit Pistons in January. A little over halfway through the third quarter, Paul made an odd move to slam into Jaden Ivey with his hand while trying to grab a long rebound following a failed 3-pointer.
Paul has a lengthy history of hand injuries from his playing career. This injury is another one.In his 32 games during his rookie campaign with the Warriors, Paul is averaging 27.6 minutes per game, 8.9 points on 42.4% shooting, and 7.2 assists.
“Chris will play all of the non-Steph minutes, and he’ll be out there with Steph as well,” stated Warriors head coach Steve Kerr after their Monday night loss to the Nuggets. “It’s easier for us to put Steph off the ball and take some of the wear and tear off of him when Chris is out there.”
Paul, who was brought to Golden State to lead the second unit, is rejoining a club that has experienced significant rotational adjustments, most notably the addition of Klay Thompson as a sixth player.
Though it’s unknown how all of the bench minutes will be distributed, the team is hopeful that Paul and Thompson coming off the bench will make its second unit incredibly lethal.”You can’t really ask for a better backcourt to come off the bench,” Thompson stated. “It’s very exciting.”
