Jared Wilson’s athleticism is praised highly by Kirby Smart
One of the first centers selected in the 2024 NFL draft is anticipated to be Sedrick Van Pran. Van Pran brought an exceptional blend of intelligence and tenacity to the center position. Although Kirby Smart is pleased with Jared Wilson, his departure is a major loss for the Georgia offensive line.
This guy outpaces several of our defensive backs, tight ends, and quarterbacks in terms of speed when it comes to center field athleticism. “His physical attributes are remarkable; weighing more than 300 pounds, he can reach the second level faster than anyone else,” Kirby Smart remarked.
Wilson did not play in the Orange Bowl during his 13-game playing career. Along with guard Tate Rateledge, guard Dylan Fairchild, tackle Earnest Greene, and tackle Xavier Truss, Wilson, a junior with more than 20 games of collegiate experience, will serve as the center of the Georgia offensive line.
Jared Wilson says that having played soccer as a child improved his athleticism. I don’t actually discuss this much, but I spent most of my youth playing soccer. That’s where I truly believe the athleticism originated. However, I think it’s extremely remarkable that Wilson moved it to the center,” Wilson remarked.
Wilson had the good fortune to have Sedrick Van Pran as a mentor for a number of years. “Sed is a well-known leader whose leadership is widely recognized worldwide. He would lead so well that he would simply respond to inquiries from other people, so I wouldn’t even need to go ask him a question,” Wilson remarked.
According to Jared Wilson, he is working on both his leadership and his ability to block linebackers at the second level. In April’s Georgia spring game, he ought to be entertaining to watch.
