Slovenian wins four of the seven stages in the race.
Mikel Landa down nearly four minutes, second overall
Tadej Pogacar completed his victory in this year’s Volta a Catalunya by winning the fourth stage of the seven-stage competition.
Once again, the Slovenian left his rivals in the dust, with Mikel Landa (Soudal Quick-Step) trailing him by three minutes and 41 seconds. The Slovenian was already leading the Volta heading into the final stage around Barcelona. Third place went to Ineos Grenadiers’ Egan Bernal with five minutes and three seconds left.
The rider from UAE Team Emirates was nearly denied by Dorian Godon of France, but he had to settle for second place, with fellow countryman Guillaume Martin coming in third.
Due to his extreme dominance, Pogacar not only won the points and mountains jerseys but also the general classification.
