Ohio State Football: The 2026 quarterback market is about to heat up
Dia Bell, a recent recruit from Florida’s American Heritage High School, is at the top of that list. Bell is receiving several excellent offers from schools including Texas, LSU, Penn State, Wisconsin, Auburn, Florida, and Washington even though he isn’t yet listed in the 247 Sports rankings. With an offer from Buckeye University in hand, Bell visited Columbus for the third time last week. Bell, who stands 6-2 and weighs 195 pounds, is a highly sought-after basketball prospect.
Four-star quarterbacks Brady Smigiel, Jared Curtis, and Will Griffin are among the players Bell joins who have gotten offers from Ohio State. Curtis is the only player on that list who has a present commitment from somewhere else; he pledged to Georgia over the weekend.
It’s also possible that you’ve heard of Bell’s father, Raja Bell, a former NBA basketball player.
The Ohio State football team is starting to focus on their 2026 quarterback, despite the fact that this list is not very lengthy. It has been said several times by Ryan Day that he prefers to have at least one quarterback in each class. Furthermore, Ohio State can take their time selecting the quarterback that best suits their room, as the room is now fully occupied and St. Clair is scheduled to arrive in the spring.
Considering that Dia Bell has already made three visits to Ohio State, he has to be regarded as a clear favorite. For that to happen prior to Bell’s junior season commencing, there must undoubtedly be a great deal of interest on both sides.
