With numerous new additions, including the first Raid Boss Bellanoir, Palworld has released its largest update to date. Pocketpair has scheduled a more content-focused update for Palworld for the summer of 2024.
Palworld, an action-adventure survival game reminiscent of Pokémon, was a huge hit when it was released in January of this year for PC and Xbox. The game became the second-most-played game ever released on Steam, shattering multiple records in terms of sales and concurrent players.
Additionally, it turned into Xbox Game Pass’s largest third-party launch ever. The game lost 97% of its peak player count on Steam after the player base began to decline a few weeks later, but the developer has since released a fresh update that may attract back the lost gamers.
The Latest Raid Boss Update from Palworld Brings Exciting New Content
The Palworld update v.0.2.0.6, which is currently accessible on Steam and shortly coming to Xbox, was released by developer Pocketpair on April 4, 2024. Bellanoir, the game’s first raid boss, and a ton of other new content are added in this, the game’s largest update yet. With slabs at the new Summoning Altar, players can now call forth Raid Boss Pals.
These friends are reportedly “very powerful” and uncapturable. In order to oppose them, players will need to cooperate with their base pals. Additionally, there exists a more formidable and challenging variant of the Raid Boss known as the “extreme” version. Pals Eggs, which players can collect, may drop if they beat Raid Boss Pals.
In addition, a number of new Training Manual items that let users award experience points to their friends have been added to Palworld. Players can now obtain old technology points with the “Ancient Technical Manual” item, gradually restore their HP with “Recovery Meds,” and view a friend’s stats with “Ability Glasses.”
Additionally, three new stat-boosting goods have been added: Power Fruit, Life Fruit, and Stout Fruit. These products increase Pal’s stats when used. With the update, there are also new passives called “Mercy Hit,” new items called “Ring of Mercy,” new armor called “Multiclimate Undershirt,” new buildings called “Electric Egg Incubator” and “Ore Mining Site,” and more.
The Palworld Update Also Includes A Few Changes for Players and Friends
Some Pals have changed as a result of the upgrade, notably Kelpsea and Dumud. Pal oil of the highest caliber can now be produced by Dumud, and Pal fluids by Kelpsea. A new “sleeping” player emote is one of the player changes. Additionally, after 24 hours of real-time gameplay, anyone can pick up any item dropped by a deceased player on a dedicated server.
Players can now hurl their friends at a facility to make them labor longer if they feel like their pals aren’t putting in enough effort. Furthermore, base-related enhancements have been made, including the addition of chest filters and the ability for players to approve or disapprove certain tasks for base buddies at the Monitoring Stand.
Along with UI upgrades, Palworld has also enhanced Pal models and textures, adjusted balance, and corrected issues. Players can now enjoy a new song that has been added to the soundtrack. An “even more content-packed update” is planned for the summer of 2024, according to the developers.
