Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat is not pleased with Kelly Oubre Jr., the wing for the Philadelphia 76ers, During Wednesday night’s play-in loss, Butler raised for a jump shot, and Oubre connected with his knee, causing an MCL injury that will keep Butler out of the game for some time.
Butler took it upon himself to threaten Oubre on Instagram, despite the fact that it appeared as though he kicked his leg out while shooting the shot, which resulted in Oubre’s foul and subsequent injury.
Butler told Oubre, “We throwing hands,” in a photo posted on the Miami Heat’s official Instagram page, Though the play that resulted in Butler’s injury was obviously not malicious on Oubre’s part, the Heat star doesn’t think so.
In any case, the 76ers emerged victorious and secured the seventh seed. Without Butler, the Heat will play the Chicago Bulls on Friday night for the eighth seed. The victor secures a first-round matchup starting on Sunday against the Boston Celtics. The game’s loser advances to the offseason.
