Steelers Sign LB Kwon Alexander on International Relations.
Following his achilles tear in Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers, inside linebacker Kwon Alexander of the Pittsburgh Steelers has been placed on Injured Reserve.
Late in training camp, Alexander inked a one-year contract with the Steelers, where he immediately established himself as a starter alongside Cole Holcomb and Elandon Roberts. After failing to assemble a stable group in recent years, the three new inside backers seemed to be returning the position to its expected form.
But as Week 11 approaches, just Cole Holcomb remains in the lineup as Alexander was placed on injured reserve this week due to a knee injury sustained last week.
Over ten games, the 29-year-old racked up 41 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, and an interception.
The Steelers will probably sign Mykal Walker off their practice squad to take Alexander’s spot. Walker, 26, was a starting wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round last season, recording 107 tackles and two interceptions in 12 games.
