5 landing spots for Florida Gators at Clemson and Ohio State are listed on the Trevor Etienne Transfer Portal.
Once a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, Etienne made his initial commitment to the Gators. After rushing for 719 yards and six touchdowns on 118 carries as a true freshman, he had an immediate impact. For 66 yards, Etienne added nine receptions. On 131 carries in 2023, Etienne finished with 753 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, sharing the backfield once more with Montrell Johnson. 172 yards and one touchdown were gained from 21 receptions by him.
5 teams that Trevor Etienne could join;
#1: Florida Gators
Monday’s transfer portal opened, but Trevor Etienne did not use it. That raises his chances, but it does not ensure he will rejoin the Florida Gators. The most likely course of action is to return to the only program he has ever known as a collegiate athlete, at least until he formally enters the transfer portal.
#2: Clemson Tigers
The Clemson Tigers’ potent combination of Phil Mafah and Will Shipley propelled them to the 38th-ranked rushing offense in the country. The Tigers may have a significant running back hole to fill as both players are qualified to enter the 2024 NFL draft. C.J. Spiller, the running back coach at Clemson, is well-liked by Trevor Etienne, who described him as a big brother figure during the recruiting process. In addition, Travis Etienne, his older brother, was a student at the school. If he does get through the portal, expect the Tigers to play a part.
#3: Ohio State Buckeyes
In terms of rushing offense in 2023, the Ohio State Buckeyes were only ranked 84th. Additionally, their top rusher, Tre-Veyon Henderson, is eligible for the draft. Henderson was the only Buckeye to reach 400 yards rushing. Trevor Etienne may be acquired through the transfer portal if Ohio State feels that the position needs to produce more.
#4: Florida State Seminoles
Ranking just 66th in rushing offense, the Florida State Seminoles are another elite program that had trouble moving the ball on the ground. Trey Benson, the team’s top rusher and the only Seminole to reach 500 yards on the ground, is eligible for the draft and may play in the NFL. Trevor Etienne was recruited by Florida State straight out of high school, and they may be able to give him a chance to stay in the state.
#5: LSU Tigers
Trevor Etienne’s high school career was finalized by three teams: the LSU Tigers, Florida Gators, and Clemson Tigers. The Louisiana native who plays running back for the Gators was raised less than 90 minutes from the university. Despite having a potent running game in 2023, quarterback Jayden Daniels who is expected to enter the 2024 NFL draft was the main contributor for LSU. Etienne might be a good addition to help them with their running back room.
