With 18 seconds remaining in overtime, Filip Forsberg scored to give the Predators (6-133-0) the win. He became the first goal scorer in Predators history with his tenth overtime goal.With 10:18 remaining in the first frame, Gustav Nyquist scored his fourth goal of the year, a tip-in to give the Predators a 1-0 lead. The goal was credited to Alexandre Carrier, who took the initial shot, and Fillip Forsberg for assists.
A little over three minutes into the second half, Luke Schenn’s attempt was tipped in by Michael McCarron to make it 2-0.However, the Flyers responded, tying the score at two goals apiece with goals from Travis Sanheim in the third and Sean Couturier in the second.For the Predators, Juuse Saros recorded a season-high 38 saves.
Sean Couturier’s goal with 23.5 seconds left in the second half cut the Flyers’ deficit in half, 2-1, and brought the team within one late in the game.
Luke Schenn’s shot was tipped in by Michael McCarron with 16:55 left in the second quarter to give the Predators a 2-0 lead over the Flyers. He had scored four goals so far this season.
