Aaron Rodgers, according to a former Jet, wants to leave New York
After being a part of their franchise and knowing the team’s history, the retired New York running back expressed astonishment Rodgers joined on in the first place.
“I’ve heard for years that if you want to kill your career, come to New York.” It was difficult for me to accept because I had spent my entire career there and had been quite steady in terms of numbers and production.
So I didn’t want to trust that rumor,” Powell explained. “I’m sure when Aaron Rodgers saw this opportunity, he told himself, ‘I’m a winner.'” I’ll go change it. I assume he had to see it for himself, and now that he’s said it, I think he’s out.”
Rami Lavi, co-host, raised an excellent argument. Rodgers’ deal was reworked last year, giving him the option to request another move this offseason. It will be interesting to see how the Jets fare in 2024 now that all of their eggs are in Rodgers’ basket.
