The Titans’ failed attempt to waive wide receiver Marco Wilson and Eddie George’s failed Pro Football Hall of Fame bid.
Pro Football Hall of Fame candidate Eddie George, a titan, is not elected.
Sadly, Eddie George, a legendary player for the Tennessee Titans, did not advance to the final 15 in the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. He was one of the 25 semifinalists.
George was one of four running backs among the 25 semifinalists; however, only legendary Jacksonville Jaguars player Fred Taylor advanced to the next round of voting.
George received two votes, making this his second semifinals ranking. This is probably not going to be his final attempt; he still has six years left to run as a modern-day candidate.

Together with those athletes, Buddy Parker is a finalist in the Coach/Contributor category, and Randy Gradishar, Steve McMichael, and Art Powell are the three finalists in the Seniors category.
Titans’ attempt to waive CB Marco Wilson was unsuccessful.
In an attempt to bolster their ailing secondary, the Tennessee Titans placed a waiver claim on former Arizona Cardinals cornerback Marco Wilson on Wednesday.
Wilson was waived by the Cardinals a few days ago, making him available. Wilson was formerly a fourth-round pick in 2021. Three teams were interested in the 26-year-old, with the Titans being one of them.
However, the New England Patriots claimed him with a higher waiver priority, therefore it was a fruitless attempt. The Denver Broncos, who were seated below Tennessee in the waiver sequence, expressed interest as well.
Wilson had a strong sophomore year, but he has significantly declined in 2023, allowing a completion on 73.4 percent of the passes thrown to him for 727 yards and five touchdowns (136.7 passer rating).
Wilson would have been a beneficial acquisition even with Tennessee’s limited depth at cornerback, with Kristian Fulton sidelined for the season and Sean Murphy-Bunting nursing an injury.
