Zach LaVine shouldn’t be considered a landing spot for the Philadelphia 76ers, according to an NBA insider.
But one NBA insider questioned whether Philadelphia would be a viable destination for LaVine. An improbable partner, The Sixers shouldn’t be considering LaVine because of their criteria, according to renowned NBA expert Marc Stein, as the latter’s contributions do not align with theirs.
“Philadelphia is still prioritizing a two-way player…as well as a move that does not limit its future optionality,” Stein said, “assuming it indeed makes an in-season trade with the assets gained in the Halloween transaction that sent James Harden to the LA Clippers.”
This attitude is understandable given that LaVine is not a player who is bound by a short-term contract and is not a two-way player. This season, the nine-year veteran has only appeared in 18 games, averaging 21.0 points per contest. Furthermore, LaVine is currently in the second year of a five-year contract that pays him more than $215 million.
Bulls are performing better, The front office of the Bulls is currently stuck in a difficult situation. With LaVine out of the lineup for the entirety of the Bulls’ last 12 games, the team has been playing considerably better lately, winning eight of them.
With senior players DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso offering stability, and point guard Coby White lighting it up from beyond the arc, the squad is also playing a more thrilling brand of basketball. This has raised questions about whether LaVine would be a better addition to the Bulls or not.LaVine plans to make her three- to four-week absence come back next month.
