Bartosz Slisz, a midfielder for Atlanta United, has received a new offer.
The other interested party is the Italian club Lecce, according to respected Polish journalist and former soccer player Tomasz Włodarczyk, who broke the story first. He also reported that Atlanta sent agents to witness his matches in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
He is “ready to leave,” according to the source, and his present club may not be willing to let him move in the winter despite the Polish international reportedly receiving offers totaling almost $2.2 million.
24 year old Slisz can play as an eight but he is mostly a defensive midfielder. Over 33 games in 2023, he has contributed three assists and one goal to the Legionaries’ record in all competitions.
One World Cup qualifier in 2021, two friendlies, and three Euro qualifiers in 2023 are among the six caps the two-time Polish champion has won for the White and Red national side.
He is a player who, like Tristan Muyumba, isn’t scared to take the initiative and go on the offensive, according to a cursory examination of his performance. He would be a perfect fit for Atlanta’s build-up approach because he is an expert at short passes. He has an eye for intriguing passes and moves through spaces with skill when moving forward.
Not being the tallest player, Slisz can nonetheless run rather fast and prevail in aerial duels. Regarding Slisz, how do you feel? In 2024, would you like to see him in the middle of the Five Stripes defense? Tell us in the space provided for comments.
