Arei never feels sorry for choosing to enlist in the Drua in 2022.
Vani Va’aga Arei, the Fijian Drua women’s center, emphasized this as she anticipates defending the 2024 Super Women’s title this season. Arei believes that because more new players are joining the team this year, she is looking forward to the competition.
The 25-year-old is from Lau’s Tovu Village, and she has maternal ties to Savusavu’s Nukubalavu.
She completed her elementary school at Savusavu’s Saint Andrews Primary School before continuing her secondary studies at Saint Bede’s College. Prior to being called up to the Drua women’s team in 2022, Arei was a member of the Melbourne Rebels women’s team in 2020. She then joined the Queensland Reds women’s extended squad.
Tomorrow at Churchill Park in Lautoka, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will take against the Waratahs at 1:05 pm, while the Drua Women’s will play the Waratahs at 3:35 pm. I
