Goalie Conor Hazard, according to Plymouth Argyle manager Ian Foster, was “outstanding” in his team’s 1-0 Championship victory against Swansea City.
“He’s been outstanding since I’ve come into the football club, and he’s going to have to be,” Foster stated to BBC Devon. As the Plymouth Argyle, we know that every game in this division will be tough for us and that we will need to play 11 men on defense.
“We’ll protect him as much as we possibly can, but there are times when he’s going to have to make big saves for us, and he’s done that. “He’s a big lad who can make big saves, and he demonstrated that today. His attitude and application have been excellent while I’ve been here.”
“We are aware that we are a small team in a major league.”
After taking over at Home Park for a month, Foster has won three and drawn two of his five games in command. He has yet to lose a game. The team, which saw 14 players come and go during the busy January transfer window, has an impressive mentality, according to him.
“When it’s back against the wall, like it was for us for long periods today, we showed just a wonderful togetherness, which is what we’re trying to create,” he remarked following the victory over the Swans.
“We’re trying to create that culture where we know we’re a small team in a big league, but we’ve got to stick together in moments where it’s difficult.”Once more, our supporters were outstanding. It’s really unusual, in my opinion, to get a team that hasn’t won a single game away from home and sell out their allocation.
“So fair play to the supporters—2,000 of them men, women, and children—who stayed behind after the 95th minute to clap the players off the pitch, which was lovely.”They’ve performed admirably and understand that the players are representing them.”
