Leander Dendoncker: The midfielder from Aston Villa signs a season-long loan to play for Napoli
After leaving Wolverhampton Wanders in September 2022 for £13 million, Belgium international Dendoncker signed a contract with Villa. He’s played 36 games with the Villa’s in all competitions.
Last month, Dendoncker made a rare Premier League start and scored Villa’s lone goal in their 3-2 loss to Manchester United.
With the permanent move of offensive midfielder Finn Azaz to Middlesbrough, he is the second Villa player to go during the January transfer window.
The 18-year-old Kosta Nedeljkovic, a defender for Villa, was signed by Red Star Belgrade earlier this week for an unknown price. Nedeljkovic will play out the season with the Serbian team.
With their first Scudetto in thirty-three years last season, Napoli is eighth in Serie A right now.
