After missing all of 2023 due to an injury, the Dodgers’ injured pitcher feels great and is eager to contribute to this club in 2024.
Following his offseason acquisition from Tampa Bay, he has been recovering from his injuries. In the second half of 2023, Los Angeles’ bullpen was among the best in the league; adding Feyereisen to the mix should only help them improve.
Feyereisen gave an update on his physical condition following a prolonged absence in an interview with Doug McKain of dodgersnation.com.
“At the same time, if not physically better. I feel wonderful about the reset I had last year, and it was fairly excellent. It’s not caused me any problems at all. Not a single setback since the end of last year. I feel fantastic. I’m eager for this year, hence,ย According to J.P. Feyereisen on the Dodgers Nation YouTube channel.
This upcoming season, Feyereisen is expected to contribute significantly to the Dodgers’ bullpen. His goal is to continue his scoreless streak, which he last pitched for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2022.
Feyereisen pitched 24.1 innings in 2022 and allowed no runs to be scored against the Rays. The Dodgers will have received a steal if he can replicate this level of output in Los Angeles.
“The entire off-season, I’ve been playing catch. To work with some of the team members and coaches, I’m really planning to travel down a little early in the spring to escape the bitter Wisconsin cold and spend a little time at the complex.ย According to J.P. Feyereisen on the Dodgers Nation YouTube channel.
Since strengthening their bullpen isn’t absolutely necessary, the Dodgers haven’t made many additions this offseason. The squad is counting on Feyereisen to continue being a good pitcher since he gives them hope that they didn’t have the previous season.
