Sorovi joins Fijian Drua in order to cover for Baselala and Lomani.
Moses Sorovi, a former halfback for the Queensland Reds, has signed a short-term contract to play for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua. The team released a statement announcing that Sorovi will cover for Frank Lomani, who is serving a six-week suspension, and that Phillip Baselala is also out due to a wrist injury.
The Fijian Drua are off this week and will play host to the Hurricanes at 7:05 p.m. on Friday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. In other Super Rugby Pacific action, the Moana Pasifika stunned the Reds 17-14, while the Waratahs defeated the Crusaders 43-40 in a thrilling golden point match.
The Chiefs and Hurricanes play tonight at 7:05 p.m., followed by the Melbourne Rebels and Highlanders at 9:35 p.m.
