The Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly in the process of hiring a new coach.
King started his professional career in 2010 as an assistant linebackers coach and defensive quality control coach. He has since worked for the Titans, the Houston Texans, and the Chargers in San Diego. He will be working under Philadelphia’s new defensive coordinator, Nic Fangio, while the team is still being assembled.
For the role King was filling, the Eagles had interviewed former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell and former Green Bay Packers coach Joe Barry.
Miami appointed Barry as the team’s new running game coordinator and linebackers coach. In the meantime, Caldwell agreed to take the same job with the Raiders of Las Vegas.
Even though the Eagles are changing up their coaching staff, head coach Nick Sirianni is still in his position. After sputtering out to a 1-6 result following a once-promising 10-1 start to the 2023 season, Philadelphia looks to turn things around.
