The former star of Kaizer Chiefs begs Motaungs to “keep Cavin Johnson.”
The Chiefs are starting their eighth season without winning a trophy after losing the Nedbank Cup. Additionally, they were eliminated from the Carling Cup and MTN8 competitions. Under the direction of coach Stuart Baxter, Amakhosi won the league title in 2015, which marked their most recent trophy victory.
Former Amakhosi defender Mokete Tsotetsi has shared his thoughts on the situation amid talks concerning Johnson’s future, including whether or not he would be named the permanent coach and whether or not the Chiefs’ administration will look into other candidates.
Since coach Cavin Johnson began in the middle of the season, Tsotetsi told FARPost, “to be honest, I think they can keep him to maintain continuity if management is comfortable with him.”
“If we keep him on board, he might have more time to build his own team and provide some outcomes. He said, “So, if the management is comfortable with him and coach Johnson is willing to stay, then let’s move forward and make it work.”
