The Bears Guard Teven Jenkins Still in Protocol
Following a head injury sustained in the first half of Sunday’s game against Cleveland, guard Teven Jenkins is still under the concussion protocol. DeMarcus Walker, a defensive end, is another important issue to take note of. He has a leg injury.
Yannick Njakoue, who is sidelined for the whole season due to a broken ankle, was replaced by Walker. Walker recorded half a sack, two tackles for loss, and more plays (54) than he has in any game this season.
Walker’s injury was described by coach Matt Eberflus as “tweaking” his leg. Walker could only take part in walkthroughs and was given limited access. “We need another day to assess, and he’s day-to-day right now but it looks to be good,” Eberflus stated.
Dominique Robinson, who saw action against the Browns for the first time in seven weeks despite not having a tackle or pass rush pressure, might see an increase in playing time. Eberflus nevertheless called it a “solid job.”
Eberflus stated, “He performed admirably in the run game.” “Obviously, hustle and effort are the foundation of everything. He performed admirably. He had a good level of intensity.”
Jaylon Jones’ calf strain kept him out of practice. Running back Travis Homer missed practice because of a hamstring issue, while wide receiver Darnell Mooney was absent due to illness.
Equanimeous St. Brown (pectoral) and linebacker Noah Sewell (knee) both missed practice due to injuries that have both bothered them since the previous game.
