AT&T Stadium will not host the FIFA World Cup final in 2026, as the Cowboys lose once more.
To Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, the first few months of 2024 have been difficult. Despite being overwhelming favorites to win, the club lost to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, January 14, in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, and thus will therefore miss out on hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup schedule was revealed on February 4. The tournament will be hosted concurrently in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The final was supposed to be held at AT&T Stadium, but MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, prevailed.
On Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the New York Giants and Jets’ stadium, the world soccer champion will be proclaimed. All AT&T Stadium can hope for is to remain the only location to hold nine games in this esteemed competition, as well as to host one of the tournament’s two semifinals.
