A player with the Eagles alluded to trade interest in the Chiefs LB L’Jarius Sneed
Thus, instead of making a routine deal or signing, general manager Howie Roseman would be better off adding championship-caliber talent to the back end in order to return to the big game. Already, it appears that one Eagles player has his eye on a particular possible pickup.
L’Jarius Sneed, the cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been the subject of offseason speculations involving the Eagles. It was recently reported that the organization gave Sneed permission to pursue a trade on Wednesday. With only one tweet, Milton Williams, Sneed’s current defensive tackle for Philadelphia and a former teammate at Louisiana Tech, seemed to indicate that he had some serious interest in the young quarterback.
Williams included the eyeball emoji in his tweet in reaction to a rumor that the Eagles had been “actively recruiting” Sneed to come to Philadelphia. These days, all it takes to ignite the frenzy is a simple emoji. Boston Scott and Griffin Herbert are two other Eagles who played at LA Tech alongside Williams and Sneed.
The Chiefs selected 27-year-old Sneed in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Having won two Super Bowls, he has participated in 57 games over the course of four seasons, recording 303 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 40 passes defended, and ten interceptions.
