Three more years have been added to Fiji Rugby’s collaboration with Fiji Kava.
On the opposing side of the debate, Valenitabua asserts that kava has significantly increased the nation’s GDP and economy. Aside from that, he claims, kava has improved the standard of living for our rural farmers, which was a major reason in Fiji Rugby’s decision to continue their partnership with Fiji Kava.
Avnil Pratap, General Manager of Commercial for Fiji Rugby, said they are excited about this news since it has been a major help in giving our national rugby teams and grassroots community a dependable supply of high-quality kava. Pratap claims that the union’s goal of promoting the players’ physical and emotional well-being is ideally aligned with Fiji Kava’s dedication to excellence and its specially developed noble kava types.
He continues by saying that in addition to improving the players’ quality of life, this collaboration is helping the kava-growing local communities flourish. According to Zane Yoshida, the founder and executive director of Fiji Kava, the company is thrilled about the partnership and feels privileged to be supporting Fiji Rugby for the next three years.
Yoshida reports that the Fiji Men’s 7s team is eager to be a part of this adventure and that the Flying Fijians had a fantastic campaign in the last Rugby World Cup in France. The team hopes to repeat their gold medal-winning performance at this year’s Olympic games in Paris.
According to him, kava and rugby are ingrained in Fijian culture, and the country is happy to declare that Taki Mai and Fiji Kava will continue to be the official kavas of the national men’s and women’s teams. The Fiji Airways Men’s and Women’s teams, meanwhile, departed our shores yesterday to compete in the HSBC Perth 7s, which takes place from Friday through Sunday.
