After the Pacers defeated Dame and the Bucks with Giannis injured, NBA fans made fun of Haliburton.
Had circumstances been slightly different, Khris Middleton would have been the game’s MVP. His spectacular buzzer beater put the game into overtime, and he nearly forced a second overtime with another of his daggers late in the frame.
Milwaukee’s top scorer, Middleton, finished with 42 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. Bobby Portis scored 17 points, while Damian Lillard finished with 28 points, seven assists, and three steals. Patrick Beverley had eleven, and Brook Lopez had fourteen. Tyrese Halliburton was the real game-changer, scoring 18 points, dishing out 16 assists, and grabbing 10 rebounds to Myles Turner’s 25 points, which put Indiana ahead.
Social media was used by supporters to applaud Haliburton’s performance and game-winning clutch play. The Pacers lead the series going into Game 4, but it will be important to keep an eye on Antetokounmpo’s condition.
Due to a left calf issue, he has missed six straight games; if he keeps missing time, Milwaukee runs the possibility of suffering a big series disadvantage. Making the most of that absence will be crucial for the Pacers.
At 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, Game 4 will begin.
