FSU football: It’s difficult to go wrong
A major plus for Florida’s passing offense would be Benson and Daniels.Let’s start with Malik Benson, who began his career as a JUCO player and spent one season playing at Alabama. Before moving up to Division 1, he was the best JUCO player overall. This season, he showed glimpses of his talent while playing for the Tide.
Malik, who had 13 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown in their passing game, wasn’t the star player. His 12.4 yards per reception demonstrates how dynamic he is out wide, even though he wasn’t producing regularly.
Benson is 6’1″ and 195 pounds. He has the length to win jump balls over most defensive backs while maintaining the frame to cut and dart through a defense. It’s difficult not to consider CJ Daniels a better potential portal player, even though Benson would be an exciting addition.
With 55 receptions for 1,067 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, Daniels was phenomenal for Liberty. Thus far, CJ’s recruiting rankings have been significantly exceeded. He was the 353rd-best wide receiver in the 2020 class and not among the top 2,000 players.
Daniels’ 19.4 yards per reception this season attests to his ability to be a big play threat at all times. He is 6’2″ and 200 pounds. Daniels is the person the Gators would most likely commit to if they had to choose. However, it’s difficult to turn these two guys down.
