Put your hands down | Drua W prepares for a rough Rebels game
Merewai Cumu, a midfielder for the Melbourne Rebels, will be wearing her customary No. 12 shirt. She stresses the need of following their game plans. Cumu stated, “We know the Rebels will come out strong and we must learn from our mistakes against the Brumbies last week. This is a new week.”
“We just need to work on our weaknesses from last week and stick to our game plans.” Luisa Tisolo, who will cover on the backline, expects the game against the home squad to be extremely hard. “We expect a more physical game from the Rebels this week, and hopefully we come back with a win,” she continued. “The Brumbies gave us a good run last week.”
Halfback shield Setaita Railumu is a firm believer in collaboration.
“We have a new week with the same objective; the Rebels are a strong team, but we must collaborate as a unit,” she continued.
The Mosese Rauluni-coached team would advance to their first home semifinal next Saturday if they win tomorrow night. Maintaining his modest demeanor, coach Rauluni emphasizes how crucial it is to concentrate on winning now rather than worrying about the home semifinal.
“We just need to win, and win well. We don’t want to worry about the home semifinal,” he continued.
Kickoff for the Rebels game is at 7:05 p.m.
