Hired by Giants Coaching offensive linemen is Carmen Bricillo.
Head coach of the New York Giants Brian Daboll has not spent any time in adding qualified candidates to his coaching team, starting with the most crucial appointment of all.
In lieu of Bobby Johnson, who was in charge on Monday, Daboll has brought in Carmen Bricillo, a former Raider. The Giants offensive line just ended a historically terrible season in which it was charged with allowing 85 sacks, second worst in league history behind the 1986 Philadelphia Eagles, who yielded 104 sacks.
After taking a job as an offensive assistant/offensive line coach at many colleges, including Duquesne, Akron, Illinois, and Youngstown State, the 47-year-old Bricillo started his coaching career in 2003 at the high school level at Indiana Area HS.
In 2019, he was appointed as a coaching assistant by the New England Patriots, where he received his first NFL coaching position. After serving as the co-offensive line coach the next season, Belichick appointed him as the main offensive line coach in 2021.
In 2022, Josh McDaniels hired Bricillo to become the offensive line coach for the Raiders, a role he continues to occupy. With Bricillo in charge, the Raiders offensive line tied for sixth place in the NFL this season with an 86.3 pass-blocking efficiency rating on Pro Football Focus.
Along with the Dolphins and Falcons, the Raiders offensive line allowed the third-fewest quarterback pressures (142), which is a significant improvement from the previous season when the unit allowed 200 pressures. The Giants have only one name openly associated with a candidate for the position of offensive line coach: Bricillo.
