Superstar guard Caitlin Clark of the Iowa Hawkeyes has declared for the 2024 WNBA draft.
After announcing the news, Clark thanked her colleagues, family, friends, and the Iowa fans who have always supported her on her account on X, the former name of Twitter.
“This will be my final season at Iowa, even if there are still many more to do and the season is far from over. I’m thrilled to be participating in the WNBA draft in 2024.
“I can never thank everyone enough for everything they have done for me during my time at Iowa. My teammates have made the last four years the best; my coaches, trainers, and staff have always allowed me to be myself; Hawkeye fans have packed Carver every night; and everyone who has supported us nationwide, especially the young kids, is truly appreciated.”
Above all, without my family and friends, who have supported me throughout it all, none of this would have been possible. You are the reason my dreams came true.
Caitlin Clark has had an incredible season. After their most recent triumph, she became the Division I women’s all-time scoring leader. She has shattered numerous records.
Clark has averaged 32.2 points, 8.7 assists, and 7.4 rebounds per game this season. As she leads the Hawkeyes to another NCAA Tournament, where they will attempt to make another long run, she is racking up triple-doubles.
As the face of college basketball, one of the greatest Iowa Hawkeyes to ever wear the black and gold has created priceless memories for countless fans and given even more kids someone to look up to and appreciate.
