Following Jan Jensen’s appointment as the Hawkeyes’ new head coach, Iowa players and supporters responded.
Jensen has been a part of the Hawkeyes team for the whole period. She has assisted in leading Iowa to 22 postseason trips, including 18 NCAA Tournaments. Her contribution to Iowa’s five Big Ten Tournament victories, including the last three, is noteworthy.
Along with two Big Ten regular-season titles, back-to-back Final Four and national championship games (2023, 2024), three trips to the Elite Eight (2019, 2023, 2024), and five Sweet 16 appearances (2015, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024), Jensen has also guided Iowa to these accomplishments.
Jensen is well known for being one of the top post player coaches in the nation as well as a fantastic recruiter.
“I am quite happy to take on this new responsibility and would like to express my gratitude to President Wilson and Beth (Goetz) for giving me the chance to oversee this initiative. I have a deep affection for the University of Iowa, and I’m thrilled to keep expanding on our achievements. Jensen remarked, “I am extremely delighted to be a part of this great university because of the unmatched support we receive in every area from our administration, donors, alumni, and fans.
