Although Eagles star Jason Kelce hasn’t completely ruled out a return, he feels there is “no shot” that he will do so in 2024.
Despite reports of his impending retirement, this Eagles player believes there is “no shot” that Jason Kelce will make a comeback in 2024.
Even though Jason Kelce has been speculated to be retiring after the 2023 NFL season, at least one of his teammates on the Philadelphia Eagles is certain that the veteran center is done for good.
Regarding Kelce’s possible comeback, left tackle Jordan Mailata told NBC Sports Philadelphia recently, “There’s no shot.” Are you implying that he is losing all of his money playing games and gambling in casinos and then coming back? Not at all.
His enjoyment is excessive. He is out there, going about his life. And, man, I will definitely miss him. Undoubtedly, my six years in the NFL and the people I’ve met, including Jason Kelce, have been the best of my life.”
The year-round Pro Bowler’s recent public appearances, in which he showed support for his brother Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs, have gone viral, are being mentioned by Mailata.
In addition to a costumed journey to the Super Bowl celebrations in Las Vegas, where Travis and the Chiefs recently won their third championship in five years, these excursions feature a shirtless celebration in a family suite at the Buffalo Bills stadium.
Despite claims following the Eagles’ wild-card playoff loss that the seasoned center was ready to put up his cleats, both Kelce siblings have brushed off the idea that their older sibling had already made up his mind about staying in the NFL.
Travis even went so far as to say that when the Eagles commence their 2024 season in Brazil, his brother will be wearing an Eagles uniform.
Soon, a real decision ought to be made. In March, Kelce, who has been a pillar of the Eagles’ offensive line since the beginning of his 13-year NFL career in 2011, will be eligible to become a free agent.
