Knee injury causes Jerome Baker to leave the Commanders game.
As receiver Curtis Samuel emerged from the backfield, safety Brandon Jones dived low to knock Samuel out of bounds and smacked into Baker. During Washington’s first drive of the second quarter, this occurred. After suffering a left knee injury, Baker was helped off the field and decided not to play again. After Baker was replaced, Duke Riley teamed up with David Long Jr. as an inside linebacker, and the two of them shared the game’s high tackle total of seven.
The medical staff will send Baker for more testing on Monday, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel informed reporters after the game. At this point, it appears that Baker’s injury is not going to end the season. “It’s difficult to lose guys who are excellent players on your team,” hybrid linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel remarked following the match.
