Lakers Will Take Action Against Hornets for the First Time This Season
Los Angeles Lakers fans had the opportunity to cap off their Grammy road trip with a boom after two huge victories.
After spending a week away from home, the Lakers return to action on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. A victory over the Hornets will not only increase the Lakers’ winning run to three games, but it will also allow them to finish above.500 on a road trip for the first time.
The Lakers are currently 3-2 while traveling to attend the Grammys. After defeating the Golden State Warriors, their division opponents, in double overtime, things got off to a wonderful start. But the Lakers lost their next two games back-to-back to the Atlanta Hawks and the Houston Rockets.
With the news that LeBron James and Anthony Davis would miss Los Angeles’ widely anticipated game against the rival Boston Celtics on Thursday, things appeared dire for the team. But the others raised their game against the Knicks on Thursday and Saturday to win their third game away from home.
Monday is when it all ends. While the Lakers appear to be playing well at the moment, they have also been incredibly inconsistent. The team we play against the Hornets is a mystery, but let’s hope it’s the improved squad.
