Long-awaited PvP functionality for Palworld is confirmed for the summer release.
Following Palworld’s early access release, which quickly dominated Steam and Xbox, users started requesting a competitive offering. Though they were unable to make many promises, Pocketpair’s developers insisted that the final PvP feature would not make the same faults that other survival games had.
This year, a similar announcement surfaced online, keeping the public unaware of the studio’s intentions. The wait for additional information, though, might not be too long.
The developers of Palworld have stated that PvP gameplay will be introduced in the upcoming summer update, during Triple-i Initiative. Players can train their Pals in the competitive mode, Pal Arena, before joining them in a coliseum to battle online opponents.
The teaser film features a glimpse of a new Quivern Pal variation in addition to what appears to be 3vs3 action. Whether or not more monsters will receive more varieties is yet unknown according to Pocketpair.
However, a remark in the v0.2.0.6 Steam patch notes promised that the summer update would bring with it “exciting adventures on a new island” home to Pals that have never been seen before. Palworld’s summer update will also include new tower bosses, weapons, and updates to PvP and other features.
Since summer is quickly approaching, more specific information may become available sooner rather than later.
