Latest: The fight between Drua and the Rebels today seems promising.
The Drua have selected a formidable side in an attempt to build on their victory over the Brumbies two weeks ago in their previous preseason game.
Prior to the start of the season, Drua captain Ratu Meli Derenalagi had stated that they hoped to strengthen the areas they had weaknesses in against the Brumbies.
The Rebels, on the other hand, will want to close up the preseason well after experiencing some setbacks earlier this week, including the departure of their CEO and some financial difficulties.
Rob Leota, a mobile backrower, will serve as their leader.
They will also have the services of backrower Maciu Nabolakasi, who plays in Melbourne, and former Wallabies winger Filipo Daugunu, who was born in Fiji.
The Drua and the Rebels will play today at Gosch’s Paddock in Melbourne at 5:30 p.m. Next Saturday in Auckland at 3.35 p.m., the Drua will play their opening game of the 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season against the Blues.
