Portal target for Michigan football Jay’Viar recommends making a transfer choice.
After making a name for himself at Grand Valley State on the western side of Michigan, former defensive tackle Jay’Viar Suggs of Clarkston, Michigan, has been a target for the Wolverines. He was undefeated and thought he would win the battle between Michigan, Wisconsin, and Kentucky until LSU entered the game and significantly impacted the 6-foot-3, 282-pound lineman.
By declaring his commitment to LSU on Wednesday, Suggs made his choice. 347Sports ranked Suggs as a three-star transfer, placing him at number 707 in the transfer portal rankings.
The names that Michigan had targeted have included Josh Priebe, a lineman from Northwestern; Dominic Zvada, a kicker from Arkansas State; prodigal son Amorion Walker, who is returning from Ole Miss; and C.J. Charleston, a wide receiver from Youngstown State.
It has, however, also lost out on a few top targets, including defensive tackle C.J. West of Kent State and cornerback Terrance Brooks of Texas.
